Covers the aesthetics and production techniques of filmmaking using ditital tools and processes.
CINE 510 Directing Wed 1-7 Goldner
Covers the function of the Director, the manipulation of space and time, problems of continuity, script planning and blocking, handling crew. This class is a laboratory.
CINE 512 Sound for Film Fri 9-4 Holmes
Laboratory in aesthetics of field and studio recording. Practice in sync recording, sound effects, narration and foley production. Preparation of tracks and post-production manipulation of sound across film genres.

This course covers the aesthetics and practice of digital video editing using Final Cut Pro.

This is a lecture class covering the design, production and analysis of sound for cinema using computer-based technologies.

Covers Optical Printing for Motion Pictures and other experimental techniques.
CINE 555 Writing & Performance: Film & Theatre Thurs 9-4 Rea
This course will be taught collaboratively with the Theatre Arts Department. Cinema students will practice the skills and techniques of working with actors in a workshop environment.
CINE 623 Exploration in Cinema as On-Line Medium Fri 9-4 Millsapps
This class covers conceptualization, programming, production and presentation of cinema on the internet, using digital tools and processing.
CINE 630 Experimental Documentary Mon 1-5 Snider
This course will provide an historical context of experimental documentary and will act as a production workshop for non-fiction experimental work.
CINE 651 Experimental Animation Wed 9-12 Gorzycki
A seminar examining experimental animation structures, styles, and techniques. Students will explore hands-on techniques within their own creative projects.
