Over the past 25 years, Caio’s professional (and personal) experience has always revolved around the visual arts, working in various positions ranging from color retoucher in ad agencies, photographer for retail catalogs, lighting technician for Silicon Valley tech companies, to camera operator and editor for broadcast television. Caio became enamored with the power of storytelling for social change when working as a D.P. for the short documentary Default: The Student Loan Documentary, which aired nationally on PBS and various non-profit TV stations. Currently, his interests lie in the space that reenactments occupy, the hybrid of narrative techniques incorporated with/in documentary footage.
