2016 School of Art/ School of Cinema Faculty Exhibition

Next Tuesday Feb 23 from 4 - 6 p.m., please join us for the opening reception of the 2016 School of Art Faculty Exhibition in the Fine Arts Gallery, featuring work in all media including painting, printmaking, installation, ceramics, photography, etc.
There will also be two related special events:

1) at 5 p.m., Dance faculty Ray Tadio will perform a brief new composition inside the gallery;

2) at 5:30 there will be a screening of new work Cinema faculty, as follows,

Cinema Faculty Screening, Tuesday Feb 23 at 5:30pm, Fine Arts 101 Coppola Theater

Faculty, staff and students are warmly invited to attend a screening of recent films by cinema faculty. Representing disciplines of animation, experimental and documentary films, the program is roughly 90 minutes. Featured works include:

Inner Space Artifacts (2 min) Dir. Ben Ridgway
Artifacts from inner space transformed into moving digital sculptures

Prayer for the Torture Memos (8 min) Dir. Greta Snider
An imaginary dialogue between words and bodies, based on the set of documents that has come to be known as "the torture memos."

Voices From Kaw Thoo Lei (10 min) Dir. Martha Gorzycki
Karen people from Burma speak about surviving terrorism and genocide inflicted by the Burmese military government.

Hutong Days (40 min) Dir. Weimin Zhang
