Canceling staggered enrollment system.

Tuesday, December 6, 2016 - 13:23

Dear Cinema Majors,

We are canceling the staggered enrollment system, since too many students seem to be confused and having difficulty navigating their options. Therefore, today we are lifting all caps on all courses — expect to see this in place by tonight or tomorrow morning. Those on waitlists will presumably get seats. Once the classes are filled, they are filled, and faculty will NOT have any additional seats to offer you. Again, we are lifting the caps and turning our enrollment process over to the University and the Registrar’s office. If you have questions about registration, please direct them to the Registrar moving forward, rather than to the School of Cinema.

We ask that you confine yourselves to enrolling in NOT MORE THAN TWO UPPER DIVISION PRODUCTION COURSES. This is to be fair to your fellow major students, and be a good Cinema citizen. Thank you.

Best, Britta Sjogren, MFA, PhD
