Cinema's David de Rozas received the Best Experimental Film Award in the first Smithsonian African American Film Festival

Congratulations to recent MFA graduate and Cinema professor David de Rozas. His recent film, GIVE (2018), received the Best Experimental Film Award in the first Smithsonian African American Film Festival, at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC

David reports that it "was a pleasure to attend and being part of this inaugural festival edition, that besides the competition, presented a large retrospective of key contemporary films that celebrate and explore African American Culture."
