Wednesday, October 23, 2013 - 17:00

Join us this Thursday, October 24 from 5:10-7:55 pm, in the Coppola Theater (FA101), as we welcome visiting filmmaker Christopher Munch for the final installment of the Cinema Department's Fall Master Class Lecture Series.

Producer, writer and director Christopher Munch's startlingly original and visually stunning independent features have won major awards at Sundance and Berlin and screened worldwide. His feature films include Letters from the Big Man (2011), Color of a Brisk and Leaping Day (1996), Harry and Max (2004), The Sleepy Time Gal (2001) and The Hours and Times (1992), which appeared on numerous 10 Best and Best of Decade lists. In addition to his own films, Munch has edited a number of features including Redemption Trail (2013), Annie and the Gypsy (2012), and The Blue Tooth Virgin (2008). Munch is a Guggenheim Fellow, recipient of the IFP’s Someone to Watch Award, and winner of the Independent Spirit Away (for Color of a Brisk and Leaping Day). He has been featured in two Whitney Biennial exhibitions.

The Thursday lecture is free and open to the public. Munch will be speaking about Independent Filmmaking and Editing for Actor Performance.
