Advising Workshop for First-Year Students

Dear Cinema Majors!!

Staff from the ARC (Advising Resource Center of LCA) will join the Undergraduate Advising Center in offering advising workshops to first-year students. Please attend one of the workshops.

Join us at one of three (3) Freshman Advising Events! Sign-up now! These academic advising events are designed to assist you with planning your course schedule for Fall 2017 priority registration. We can help you with understanding your general education, major, or pre-major requirements. The Fall 2017 Class Schedule will be available on April 10th and Early Priority Registration begins on May 1st-12th. Look for an email from the Registrar's Office in April, which will include Fall 2017 registration information, dates and deadlines.

3 Easy steps to sign-up for the Freshman Advising Event: [Please note: All sessions start with a 30-minute workshop and then are followed by one-on-one advising with an academic counselor.]

Steps: 1. Choose one of the hyperlinks (below) for the day you want to attend: Monday, April 10th or Friday, April 14th or Monday, April 17th

2. Select a workshop time slot that works for you: 9:30am or 10:30am or 12:30pm or 1:30pm

3. Print and bring your ticket to the event

Bring the following: 1. A list of your current classes and coursework you have completed 2. A Degree Progress Report (DPR), and any additional information if applicable: AP, IB, CLEP or transfer credit. To locate the DPR, go to your Student Center and select "other academic" menu. Select "Degree Progress Report" and hit arrow. When you are on the DPR page, select the box "expand all" and print the document.
