M.F.A. candidate's film wins honors

Pedro Gomez's BANZAI RISING receives Official Selection in CAAMFest 2013.

BANZAI RISING was one of the four wonderful short documentary films made during the 2012 International Documentary Workshop in China by Pedro Gomez and his American and Chinese team, Andrew Marson, Jordan Rader, Yixiao Li, Buffy and Ke He. The International Documentary Workshop has been the flagship international exchange program between SF State and Shanghai Normal University since Summer 2010. Each year, films coming out of the workshop have been selected and awarded at international film festivals including the San Francisco Asian American Film Festival.
