Scott Boswell appointed to tenure track Assistant Professor

Please join me in congratulating Scott Boswell in his appointment as a tenure track Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2014.

As many of you know, Scott has been a lecturer in Cinema for the last six years. In what amounts to a kind of promotion, his appointment at the tenure track level is a testament to his incredible teaching and filmmaking skills. Scott is the director of the feature film The Stranger in Us, which premiered at Frameline, won awards at Chicago Reeling and Colorado Springs Film Festivals, and is currently in distribution internationally. His next feature film, All American Boy, tells the story of a Latino teen who discovers he's undocumented while struggling against a dysfunctional home life.
