Black Film Culture – Cinema Salon Series

The School of Cinema presents a conversation with the creators of the newly released, awarding-winning film, "The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain," (2021) starring Frankie Faison. Based on the true story of the events that led to the police killing of an elderly African-American veteran. This event will feature David Midell (writer/director), Kenneth Chamberlain, Jr., and Enrico Natale (actor/producer) in conversation with Assistant Professor Artel Great, the George and Judy Marcus Endowed Chair in African-American Cinema Studies.

This event marks another installment of the Black Film Culture cinema salon series that engages the rich and diverse terrain of Black moving image practices, scholarship, and critical discourses. Registrants will gain private access to screen the film for free online for a limited window.
